Peggy M. Brook attended the Christian Science Sunday School from the age of five, and was first inspired by the Pure Science of Christian Science when, in 1937, she became secretary to John W. Doorly working for him in that capacity and later as his assistant for thirteen years.
Peggy M. Brook was the Trustee for the Writings of John W. Doorly, Director of The Foundational Book Company, and joint Editor of the periodicals Metaphysical Notes (l947·1951) and Ideas of Today (1951-1977). For nearly sixty years she devoted her life to the study and practice of Christian Science, as well as giving a large number of talks and Summer Schools on the Science of the Bible and publishing writings on this subject. Her talks and publications have always stressed the impersonality as well as the warmth of Science, blending the letter with the spirit.
